10-FEB-2019: Prof Shamsul Hayat receives Khankhoje Gold Medal
ALIGARH February 10: Prof Shamsul Hayat, Department of Botany, Aligarh Muslim University has been awarded Dr P S Khankhoje Gold Medal by Dr Punjabrao Deshmukh Krishi Vidyapeeth, Akola, Maharashtra. The award was given to Prof Hayat by the Maharashtra Government's Revenue and Agricultural Minister, Mr Chandrakanta Dada Patil at the 33rd convocation of the Vidyapeeth in recognition of his research and services in the field of agriculture, animal sciences, fisheries and agricultural engineering.
Prof Hayat also delivered a talk on ?Role of PGR in abiotic stress and proteomics? in the Department of Agricultural Botany of the Vidyapeeth.
Prof Hayat has earlier received several prestigious awards including Prof Hira Lal Chakravorty Award by Indian Science Congress Association, Kolkata, Associate ship of National Academy of Agricultural Sciences, New Delhi, BOYSCAST fellowship from the Department of Science and Technology, New Delhi and Young scientist award from Association of the Advancement of Science, Aligarh.
