02-MAR-2019: AMU researcher awarded 'Plantae Fellowship'
ALIGARH March 2: Dr Naser A Anjum, a DBT-RLF researcher (Scientist-D) in the Department of Botany, Aligarh Muslim University has been awarded the ?Plantae Fellowship? by the American Society of Plant Biologists (ASPB), USA, in recognition of his contribution to plant biology. Dr Anjum?s research focuses on the major aspects of 'Plant-Environment-Adaptation/Tolerance' and is currently involved in the development of biosensors for the real-time monitoring of major reactive oxygen species in plants.
Founded in 1924 as the American Society of Plant Physiologists, the ASPB is devoted to encourage and publish research in plant biology and promote interest of plant scientists in this field, while a Plantae Fellow is supposed to to help nurture and grow the global plant science community.
