06-MAR-2019: AMU Geology students urged to work hard for JAM and GATE
ALIGARH March 6: Mr Mohd Rizwan, Geologist, Western Offshore Basin, ONGC, Mumbai and an alumnus of the Department of Geology, Aligarh Muslim University urged the students of the Department of Geology to work hard to get through the Joint Admission Test (JAM) and GATE examination as success in these examinations would ensure an excellent career for them.
Mr Rizwan, a top ranker in JAM and GATE and a medallist from IIT Bombay, was addressing the AMU students at an interactive meet held to motivate them for appearing at national level competitive examinations and making a good career for themselves.
Mr Rizwan urged the postgraduate students to prepare for GRE and TOEFL to seek admission to PhD programmes in reputed institutions in India and abroad. He said that the syllabi at various levels in AMU's Department of Geology were up to date and helpful in competitive examinations.
Prof Syed Ahmad Ali, Chairman of the department was also present on the occasion.
