08-MAR-2019: Three weeks' training program on Solar Water Pumping concludes at AMU
Aligarh, March 8: A three-week training programme, 'Varunmitra' on Solar Water Pumping has been completed in the Department of Electricity. It was organized in collaboration with the Department of Electrical Engineering.
During 15 days of sessions the twenty participants gained knowledge on various aspects of solar plants, their components, use in water pumping, and the national guidelines and schemes. The sessions conducted theoretical as well as practical training on the site. The students of Zakir Husain College of Engineering and Technology as well as some staff members from Electricity department participated in it.
The Chief Guest of the valedictory function Prof M Mohsin Khan, Proctor, AMU distributed the certificates to the participants and appreciated and underlined the importance of such job oriented skill development programmes.
Rahul Pachauri, Research Scientist, NISE conducted the assessment test of the participants and said that AMU has become a trusted partner of NISE in carrying out quality training programmes.
Dr Mohd Rihan, MIC Electricity and Coordinator of the programme paid vote of thanks to Vice Chancellor, university administration and other officials for their support towards promotion and training in the area of solar energy in general and conducting these training programmes in particular.
