27-MAR-2019: Training Programme on Rooftop Solar Grid Engineer completed
Aligarh, March 27: A two weeks (10 working days) training programme on Rooftop Solar Grid Engineer has been completed in the Department of Electricity. The training programme was sanctioned by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, and National Institute of Solar Energy (NISE) Government of India. The programme was organized in collaboration with the department of Electrical Engineering, AMU.
During 10 days of sessions the forty participants gained knowledge on various aspects of solar plants, their components, applications, and the national guidelines and schemes.
As chief guest of the valedictory function Er SB Pal, Superintending Engineer, Electricity Distribution, Aligarh distributed the certificates to the participants and appreciated the importance of such job oriented skill development programmes. He also praised the installation of solar plants in the AMU campus on a large scale.
Prof Adeeb Alam, Chairman, Central Purchase Committee, AMU was also present on the occasion as a guest of honour.
Rishu Ranjan, Research Scientist, NISE conducted the assessment test of the participants and appreciated the role of AMU in carrying out quality training programmes.
Dr Mohd Rihan, MIC Electricity and Coordinator of the programme expressed thanks to Vice Chancellor and university administration for all the support.
Prof Imtiaz Ashraf, chairperson Electrical Engineering proposed the vote of thanks for the programme.
