01-APR-2019: AMU industrial chemistry student receives Indo-Canadian Shastri Fellowship
Aligarh, April 1: Arish Naim, a BSc (Industrial Chemistry) student of the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) has been selected with 10 other students from all over India to do research at Canadian universities under the Indo-Canadian Shastri Fellowship Scheme.
With the fellowship, she will be working at the School of Engineering, University of British Columbia, Canada for upto three months on the 'development of new multifunctional nanomaterials'.
Congratulating Arish for the achievement, Prof Sartaj Tabassum (Chairperson, department of chemistry) said that the fellowship will provide the selected students with international exposure and long term benefits to enhance their research acumen.
Arish is also a recipient of ACS International Student Chapter Grant and will be attending the ACS national meeting in Orlando, Florida, United States of America.
