02-APR-2019: Free Health Camp Organized for underprivileged
Aligarh, April 2: The Department of Community Medicine, Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College (JNMC), Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), in collaboration with Centre for Women's Studies AMU organised a Free Health Camp at Jyoti Kiran Foundation Educational Center located at Hathi-Duba, Amir Nisha, Aligarh. Around 150 School children and some local residents took the benefit of Free Health Camp. After the successful camp a Health talk on personal hygiene was delivered.
Parveen Mukhtar of Kiran Jyoti Foundation praised the efforts of doctors of AMU and Women's Studies Center.
Professor Ali Amir, Chairperson, Department of Community Medicine said that School Health Program is one of the important tools to find out and diagnose underlying problems in young children at early age. Service to underprivileged sections of society is what AMU taught to its students.
Dr Aiman Zehra, Dr Saleem Mohammad Khan, Dr Yasir Zubair, Dr Mehnaz Aslam, Dr Fateullah, Dr Azra, Dr Eram, Dr Farha, Dr Iram were in the team of doctors.
