02-APR-2019: Dept of pharmacology organises Quiz Competition
Aligarh, April 2: A team comprising Mohammad Yahya and Vandit Goyal secured the first place with a cash prize of Rs 4000 in the Avicenna Pharmacology Quiz Competition-Season 3 organised by the department of pharmacology, Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College (JNMC), Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) in association with Aligs' Academic Enrichment Programme (AAEP).
With a cash prize of Rs 3000, Inamullah Khan and Ishan Sharma stood second; while Sehba Zaidi and Sana Sultana received Rs 2000 for finishing third. Syeda Alina and Warisha were given the consolation prize. The winning teams received certificates and pharmacology books by CBS Publishers. The top five eliminated teams were also given pharmacology books.
Prof K C Singhal (Vice Chancellor of NIMS University, Jaipur) and Prof M Nasiruddin (Chairman, department of pharmacology) were the chief guest and guest of honour respectively.
Prof Syed Ziaur Rahman (Quiz Coordinator) delivered the welcome address and thanked the participants.
Faculty members, Dr Jameel Ahmed and Dr Irfan Ahmed Khan were the judges and senior resident, Dr Shujauddin with junior resident, Dr Ahmed Zee Fahem were the scores.
Junior residents, Dr Prerna Singh and Dr Siraj Ahmed were the quiz masters. Thirty one teams participated in the competition.
