05-APR-2019: Workshop on embedded systems concludes
ALIGARH April 5: The Department of Electrical Engineering, Aligarh Muslim University, organised a two-day workshop on "Embedded System and Internet of Things (IoT)" under TEQIP III and DRS II programme. The workshop, attended by 50 faculty members, research scholars and B Tech and M Tech students focussed on techniques used in the application of embedded systems and IoT with Cloud.
Addressing the participants, Prof B H Khan (Dean, Faculty of Engineering and Technology) underlined the importance of Internet of Things (IoT) in technology industry, policy making and engineering. This technology, he said, is embodied in a wide spectrum of networked products, systems and sensors, which take advantage of advancements in computing power, electronics miniaturization and network interconnections offering new capabilities which were not possible earlier.
Prof Sufyan Beg (Principal, ZH College of Engineering and Technology) highlighted the importance of multidisciplinary research in today's time, while Prof Imtiaz Ashraf, Chairman, Department of Electrical Engineering discussed the importance of experimental works in establishing scholar quality.
Dr Mohd Sarfraz (Coordinator) urged the students to enhance their skills with new technologies to be prepared for job market while Dr Safia Kazmi (Convener) informed that the training program was aimed on the requirements of embedded system control with real time application.
Co-Coordinators, Mr Zeeshan Sarwar and Ms Ayeesha Tooba, helped organize the workshop successfully.
Dr Vinay Chowdhary, Dr Rupendara Kumar Pachauri and Mr Abhishek Sharma, working with Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department, SOE University of Petroleum and Energy Studies, Dehradun were the resource persons.
