11-APR-2019: Training and Placement Office organises 'Employability Enhancement Programme' workshop
Aligarh, April 11: The Training and Placement Office-General, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) organised a five-day 'Employability Enhancement Programme' workshop to instil the right blend of knowledge, skills and attitude in the faculty of science students. The programme was held at the Conference Hall, department of physics.
Speaking at the valedictory function, Prof Mohammad Shakir (Dean, Faculty of Sciences) pointed out that several thousands of students graduate every year, but only a few have the right skills and competencies for employment.
"Graduates need to learn the personality development abilities to execute their subject based knowledge for job prospects," he said.
Welcoming the guests, Mr Saad Hameed, Training and Placement Officer-General emphasised that students need to be self-reliant and skill based with the necessary proficiencies to get hired.
"Employers are always inquisitive of identifying talents from the pool of students with the perfect capabilities," added Mr Hameed.
Dr Muzamil Mushtaq, Assistant Training and Placement Officer-General and Coordinator of the Programme, proposed the vote of thanks.
Areeba Tauseef conducted the programme.
This was the fourth workshop in the series 'Employability Enhancement Programme' organised by the Training and Placement Office-General.
