12-APR-2019: CISP workshop held at JNMC
Aligarh, April 12: The Medical Education Unit, Faculty of Medicine, Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College (JNMC), Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) conducted the 'Curriculum Implementation Support Program (CISP)' workshop for JNMC faculty members under the Medical Education Regulation 2019, Medical Council of India (MCI) guidelines.
Inaugurating the workshop, Prof S C Sharma (Dean, Faculty of Medicine) emphasized the need for adopting a systematic approach to faculty development for enhancing quality education and to meet health challenges for 21st Century.
Prof Seema Hakim (Coordinator, Medical Education Unit) delivered the welcome address, while the programme was monitored by the MCI Observer, Dr Deepa Singh (Co-convenor, Regional Centre for Medical Education Technologies, Himalayan Institute of Medical Sciences, Jollygrant, Dehradun).
Prof S Manazir Ali (Co-coordinator, Medical Education Unit and Member Curriculum Committee) delivered lectured on 'Role of IMG and Foundation Course on Day-1'.
Prof Arshad Hafeez Khan (Department of plastic surgery) apprised on the training methods, integration, assessment and new addition during the session on 'Proposed Changes in Graduate Medical Education Regulations.'
Prof Shagufta Moin (Department of biochemistry) and Dr Saadiya Saeed (Department of forensic medicine) also addressed during the programme.
Thirty participants from pre-clinical, para-clinical, medical, surgery and allied disciplines attended the workshop.
