12-APR-2019: Women's polytechnic organises annual function
Aligarh, April 12: "The Women's polytechnic lays foundation for the careers of future women engineers, fashion designers and other mainstream women professionals," said renowned paediatrician, Dr Hameeda Tariq, while attending the annual function of the University Women's Polytechnic, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) as the Chief Guest.
In a motivating speech, she urged girls to do the best in their academics for surviving the competitive world.
Dr Hameeda emphasized on the need for women becoming job providers and not job seekers.
Presiding over the function, Prof Badrul Hasan Khan (Dean, Faculty of Engineering and Technology) promised to extend all possible help to the Women's Polytechnic.
Dr Salma Shaheen (Principal, Women's Polytechnic) read the annual report.
Prof Romana Siddiqui (Chairperson, department of psychology), Prof Zakia Arshad and Mrs Tanveer Badar also spoke on the occasion.
Dr Sheeba Kamal (Incharge, Poly-Society) proposed the vote of thanks, while Ms Tayebah Fateen delivered the welcome address.
The guests also distributed prizes to the winners of various literary, cultural and sport activities held during the function.
