19-APR-2019: AMU Admin appeals Phd aspirants to end protest
Aligarh, April 19: The Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) administration has advised the Phd aspirants to end their ongoing protest, as they have blocked the main gate of the University Administrative Block leading to disruption in normal office functioning.
In a notice, AMU Proctor, Prof M Mohsin Khan has categorically pointed out that the problems of Phd aspirants were sympathetically considered in a meeting of the deans of various faculties where in it was decided that the Phd admission test for the 2019-20 academic session will be held in July/August.
"The Phd admission seekers are now advised to end their protest to avoid stern action from the University administration, in which non-compliant aspirants can be debarred for further admissions in any course of the University," stated the notice.
Legal action shall also be initiated by the University administration, said the Proctor while asking the Phd aspirants to vacate the place of protest as they are presently not the students of the University.
"The protest is creating a lot of hurdles in the office functioning and to the staff and students who have to attend important work in various offices of the University," said Prof Mohsin Khan.
