22-APR-2019: Dept of civil engineering to organise workshop under TEQIP-III
Aligarh, April 22: The department of civil engineering, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) under the third phase of Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme (TEQIP-III) will organise a two-day national workshop on 'Natural Disasters and their Mitigation' on 24 and 25 April, in which Prof D K Paul (IIT-Roorkee), Prof Suhail Ahmad (IIT-Delhi), Prof Chandan Ghosh (Head, GHRMD, National Institute of Disaster Management), Mr Anand Sharma (India Meteorological Department, New Delhi) and Mr Shrikante ( Millennium Technology, Bangalore) will be resource persons.
Prof Rehan A Khan (Organizing secretary) said that during the programme leading academic scientists and researchers will share experiences and research results on all aspects of reliability and structural safety.
"The workshop will provide a platform for researchers and practitioners to discuss recent innovations, trends, and concerns and practical challenges encountered with solutions," he said adding that participants from academic institutions, government and non-government organizations from all over the country will attend the programme.
