22-APR-2019: Dr Asim Rizvi receives Indo Canadian Shastri Postdoctoral Fellowship
Aligarh, April 22: Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) Research Associate, Dr Asim Rizvi, who is working under Professor Imrana Naseem, department of biochemistry-life sciences, Aligarh Muslim University has been awarded the Indo Canadian Shastri Postdoctoral Fellowship to work on the newly developed 'Poly ADP Ribose Polymerase, a mechanism to study the development of skin cancer' at the Laval University, Quebec, Canada.
Dr Asim is one of the four researchers from all over India to be selected for the fellowship.
His collaborative research work on cancer stem cells with Prof Imrana has been published in peer-reviewed, Oncotargets.
Dr Asim is also a recipient of Khorana Fellowship (University of Wisconsin) and Obama Singh STEM Fellowship (Ohio State University).
