23-APR-2019: Academia-industry interface held
ALIGARH April 23: "It is imperative that AMU students pursue a career that serves not only their family but also the mother institution and society, and they contribute to nation building in a meaningful manner", said Mr Abdul Hamid, IPS (AMU Registrar) while addressing the law students at an academia-industry interface, "Law CorpNect 1.0", held at the Strachey Hall, Aligarh Muslim University. The programme was organized by the students of the Faculty of Law, in the supervision of Training and Placement Office (General).
Mr Hamid said that corporate jobs are of challenging nature and facilitate students? exposure to high skilled services with defined objectives.
In his presidential remarks, Prof Shakeel Ahmad Samdani highlighted the importance of law education and urged the students to work hard to achieve excellence in this field. He said legal profession ranked among top five professions at international level.
The inaugural session was followed by two panel discussions on "Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016" and "Criminal Amendment Act, 2018".
Ms Anupam Sanghi (Anupam Sanghi Associates) and Mr Saurabh Kumar (SK Attorneys) were panelists in the first discussion while Ms Musarrat Hussain (Fide Mihi), Mr Tauseef Raza (Civil Judge, UP) and Dr Md Kaleem Khan (Chaudhary Advocates) formed the panel for the second discussion. Dr Gaurav Varshney and Prof Shakeel Samdani convened the two panel discussions respectively.
Earlier, Dr Muzammil Mushtaq (Assistant TPO General) welcomed the guests while Mr Saad Hameed (TPO General) proposed a vote of thanks.
