04-MAY-2019: AMU faculty delivers session at Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University
Aligarh, May 4: Prof Sheeba Hamid, Department of Commerce, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) delivered a session on 'Role of Public Private Partnership in Responsible Tourism Development in Himalayas' as an invited speaker in a national workshop on 'Practicing Responsible Tourism in the Himalayas' organised by the Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University in Rajouri, Jammu and Kashmir in collaboration with the World Wide Fund for Nature-India and Department of Wildlife Protection, Government of Jammu and Kashmir.
She spoke on bringing together different stakeholders of tourism sector to create awareness and train them on aspects of sustainable tourism including natural resource management, biodiversity conservation and best practices in tourism.
Prof Sheeba was also panellist in a discussion on 'Jammu and Kashmir Eco-Tourism Policy'.
