22-JUN-2019: Blood donation camp held at Kasimpur Power House
ALIGARH June 22: To mark the World Yoga Day and the World Donors' Month, the Blood Bank, J N Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University organized a blood donation camp at the Harduwagunj Thermal Power Plant, Kasimpur and collected a whopping 490 units of blood.
Thakur Dalveer Singh, MLA Barauli and Mr R K Wahi, General Manager, Hardwagunj Power Project, jointly inaugurated the camp held under the supervision of Prof S H Arif, Incharge, Blood Bank, Dr Smiriti Prasad, CMO Blood Bank and Dr Murad Ahmad, Assistant Professor, Department of Pathology and managed by other technical staff.
Addressing on the occasion, Prof Arif expressed gratitude to the Harduaganj Power Plant administration and the donors who came in large numbers to participate in the drive. Expressing satisfaction on the large volume of donated blood, Prof Arif said that the blood bank has restricted capacity of storing about 1500 units, however, soon a walk-in chamber (cold room) of 10 sq meter will start working with storage capacity of 8000 to 10000 unit blood.
