16-AUG-2019: Dr Mohd Masood appointed as Head of Dental School, La Trobe University, Australia
Aligarh, August 16: Dr Mohd Masood, the first alumna of the Dr Ziauddin Ahmed Dental College, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) has been appointed as the head of internationally acclaimed Dental School at La Trobe University, Australia. He is also a member of Australian Council of Dental Deans.
Dr Masood is also an Adjunct Professor at the Dental Institute, University of Turku, Finland and honorary visiting research fellow at King's College London. He has more than 50 publications in high quality international journals and book chapters.
He is a reviewer for many reputed journals including The Lancet, Bulletin of the World Health Organization, Journal of Dental Research, Community Dentistry and Oral Epidemiology, BMC Public Health and Angle Orthodontics.
Dr Masood completed his early and higher education from AMU. After graduating with a BDS degree from AMU Dental College, he moved to England for his masters from the King's College London. He was awarded membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2008.
Dr Masood completed his first PhD Monash University, Australia and second PhD from the University of Turku, Finland.
He has worked in different countries including India, UK, Finland, Malaysia and Australia and has delivered lectures in 10 different countries.
Dr Masood is determined to contribute in developing the profile of AMU Dental College.
