27-AUG-2019: AMU law scholar clears higher judicial service examination
ALIGARH August 27: Students of the Faculty of Law, Aligarh Muslim University have always proved their mettle when it comes to their selection in various judicial services examinations. Adding to the galore of such successful students, Mr Nijendra Kumar, a research scholar pursuing PhD under the supervision of Professor Shakeel Samdani, Dean, Faculty of Law, has qualified the Higher Judicial Services examination and is set to become the Upper District Judge.
Terming Kumar's success as an exemplary achievement, Professor Samdani said that it will provide as an impetus for other students to vie for higher judicial services. Addressing a felicitation ceremony, Prof Samdani said Kumar's qualification for Upper District Judge at such a young age is a proud success for the Faculty of Law.
Professor Javaid Talib, Chairman, Department of Law said that Mr Kumar's success is a testimony to his hard labour, commitment and scholarship.
Expressing gratitude to the faculty members for their continued guidance and support, Mr. Nijendra Kumar said that he always dreamed of becoming a judge and work for strengthening justice by contributing meaningfully to the fast track justice system. He said that AMU has greatly helped in his academic and intellectual development and he will always remain grateful and indebted to the institution.
Mr Kumar said that AMU's Maulana Azad Library has rich assets of national and international law journals and these journals have significantly helped in referential studies. He specially thanked his supervisor, Prof Samdani, for providing him with all sort of help and support.
