28-AUG-2019: ADR Monitoring Centre, JNMC to monitor adverse drug reactions of Albendazole on National Deworming Day
Aligarh, August 28: The Adverse Drug Reaction (ADR) Monitoring Centre, JN Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University will monitor the adverse drug reaction on school children, who will consume Albendazole on the National Deworming Day (August 29).
Since, the adverse drug reaction may cause gastrointestinal discomfort, dizziness, headache and fever in some cases, Prof Mohammad Nasiruddin, Coordinator of the Pharmacovigilance Programme, Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College Chapter has advised parents of children suffering after effects to report him and Mr Gufran Ali, Patient Safety Pharmacovigilance Associate on their phone numbers 9412596898 and 9997277460, respectively.
The ADR Monitoring Centre is functioning under the Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission (IPC), Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India to monitor drug-related adverse events.
