29-AUG-2019: Dept of Business Administration conducts orientation programme
Aligarh, August 29: The Department of Business Administration, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) welcomed its new batch of aspiring future managers, who have been enrolled in MBA, MBA (International Business), MBA (Islamic Banking and Finance) and MBA (Hospital Administration) in an 'Orientation Programme' to commence its new academic session.
Making students aware of norms and expectations, Prof Valeed A Ansari (Dean, Faculty of Management Studies and Research) directed them to set goals before they enter professional phases of life.
Introducing students to the faculty members, Prof Parvaiz Talib, Chairman, Department of Business Administration said: "Management education is all about interactive communication. In next few months you will learn interactivity - a skill of the domain that will speak of you, adopt multi tasking, acquire teamwork and skills to extract with processes and grow with knowledge towards success."
Prof Javaid Akhtar shared the works and contributions of erstwhile chairmen of the department and urged students to build teamwork ability and work on organisational and communication skills with intentions of Nation building.
Prof Bilal Mustafa Khan encouraged students to become brand ambassadors of the Faculty of Management Studies and Research.
Prof M Khalid Azam delineated history of the Department.
Prof Jamal A Farooquie acquainted the new students with the curriculum, ordinances and rules, while Prof Ayesha Farooq familiarised them with corporate challenges and professional skills assessment.
Special sessions were also conducted by alumni and corporate managers in coordination with the Training and Placement Office (General).
