12-SEP-2019: Health camp held
ALIGARH September 12: The Department of Tahaffuzi Wa Samaji Tib (Preventive and Social Medicine), Ajmal Khan Tibbiya College, Aligarh Muslim University, in association with Simnan Imperial Guild (SIG) and Indian Integrated Community Health Association (UCHA), Aligarh, organized a health camp at Bhavigarh, a village in Atrauli subdivision, which has been adopted by it for carrying out various community programmes including health checkup and campaign for polythene free society, under the directives of the Ministry of Human Resource Development.
Addressing the inaugural function, Prof S M Safdar Ashraf, Chairman of the department highlighted the community services conducted by the department urging the importance of health education and hygienic practices.
Prof Ashraf said that the department was making all efforts to make the village free polythene-free. He urged the undergraduate students to make village people aware of the hazardous effects of use of polythene.
Prof S M Safdar Ashraf, Dr Mohd Usman and Dr Mohammad Aslam provided consultation to about 125 patients and conducted free ECG and other checkups on them. Free medicine were also distributed on the occasion.
The health camp Incharge, Dr Mohammad Aslam proposed a vote of thanks while Dr Mohd Usman conducted the programme.
