06-OCT-2019: A two-day National Conference on Sports Biomedical Engineering held
Aligarh, October 6: A two-day National Conference on ?Sports Biomedical Engineering? was organised by Department of Physical Education, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), in which more than 100 delegates across India have participated.
In the Presidential address, the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) Vice Chancellor, Prof Tariq Mansoor, delineated significance of sports in establishment of coordination and brotherhood in the society.
The Chief Guest, Mr K Vikram Simha Rao, Director, Department of Empowerment of Person with Disabilities, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, said that as per the need of today?s sport requirement it is nursery to provide the backup for sportspersons with scientific knowledge to enhance the performance.
The Guest of Honour of the conference, Prof Sanjay Mittal, Head, Department of Aerospace Engineering, IIT, Kanpur, pointed out that how the engineering sciences at national and international level helping the players scientifically to improve their performance.
The Chairperson Department of Physical Education Prof Zamirullha Khan welcomed all the distinguished guests and delegates, Dr Mohd Arshad Bari, Organizing secretary of the conference presented the concept note and Dr Naushad Wahid Ansari proposed the vote of thanks.
