24-OCT-2019: AMU school students participate in national competition
ALIGARH October 24: Several students of the Aligarh Muslim University Girls School have earned appreciation at a national competition "Saksham" organized by the Petroleum Conservation Research Association (PCRA) under the aegis of Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Government of India. The event marked the national movement undertaken by the ministry to create awareness among people for conserving petroleum products and reducing emission of hazardous gases.
In painting (junior group), entries of Pragya Sharma (VII-D) and Zunaira (V-A) were adjudged best among 51 entries while in senior group painting competition, entries of Azra Junaid (X-A) and Areeba Aqeel (VIII-B) were declared best among 30 such entries.
Similarly, in essay writing (Hindi language), Pooja Singh (IX-C) and Shifa Fatima (X-C) emerged as the best among 19 participants whereas in English language essay competition, Afreen Fatima (VIII-D) and Aleena Hashim (IX-D) were declared best among 37 participants.
Th PCRA also organized an online quiz competition at the AMU Girls School with 100 students participating in the event, out of which two students will be selected to participate in a district level online quiz.
Mrs Amna Malik, Principal and Mrs Arshi Zafar Khan, Cultural Coordinator, supervised these events.
