30-OCT-2019: Clarification on false allegation by Ph.D. aspirant
Aligarh, October 30: The Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) would like to clarify that the allegations made in a section of media by a Ph.D. aspirant related to the disappearance of a set of questions for the Department of Political Science's Ph.D. entrance exam prepared by Prof Abdulrahim P Vijapur are false and malicious with the intention of harming the university's credibility.
Mr. Mujeeb Ullah Zuberi, Controller of Examinations, AMU elucidated: "Because Prof Vijapur did not contribute to the question bank of Ph.D. entrance test in Political Science, nor was he named as the moderator of the question bank, the allegations were incorrect."
Pointing out that the allegations made by the Ph.D. aspirant are a figment of his imagination, Mr. Zuberi said, "He alleged that the 50-question set by Prof. Vijapur for Section B of the entrance examination paper was missing, while Section B of the paper contains only 40 questions."
"Prof Vijapur has contributed questions for the Human Rights Ph.D. entrance exam paper, which is yet to be finalized," he said, adding that the Vice Chancellor approves only one set of questions out of three set by the moderator, which he receives after finalizing of the sets of questions submitted by AMU faculty members and external faculty members.
