05-NOV-2019: 'Entrepreneurial Awareness Camp' in AMU
Aligarh, November 5: Youngsters pursuing entrepreneurship as a career option must always come up with innovative ideas, said Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) Pro Vice Chancellor, Prof Akhtar Haseeb at the inaugural of a three-day 'Entrepreneurial Awareness Camp' organised by the University Polytechnic in collaboration with the Food Craft Institute (FCI), Aligarh. The camp is sponsored by Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII), Ahmadabad with the support of Department of Science and Technology (DST), New Delhi.
He added that the camp will provide students with necessary skills to create their own window of opportunities.
The Pro Vice Chancellor emphasised that creating awareness on entrepreneurship will eventually solve the problem of unemployment and change the mindset to tackle the problem of shortage of jobs in organized and other sectors.
Prof Badrul Hasan Khan, Dean Faculty of Engineering and Technology stressed upon merits of adopting entrepreneurship as a career option for achieving economic and financial independence.
Prof Arshad Umar, Principal, University Polytechnic urged the participants to work on business models framed with social responsibility orientation.
Dr Neeledra P Srivastava, Principal, FCI; Er M Mohsin Khan, Training and Placement Officer, University Polytechnic and Dr Wasif Ullah Khan Coordinator of the Programme exhorted participants to become job providers and not job seekers.
Dr Wasif Ullah Khan proposed the vote of thanks.
A number of prominent entrepreneurs are attending the camp as resource persons. They are sharing knowledge and skills with 250 participating students. The camp will conclude on November 6.
