25-NOV-2019: Motivational lecture held
ALIGARH November 25: The Faculty of Law, Aligarh Muslim University organized a motivational lecture on "Relevance of Lower Judiciary in India" at the Moot Court Hall. Addressing the budding lawyers, Advocate Pruthvi Raj NK said that through legal profession we can make our and country?s future bright. If we look at the history of modern India, we will find that all the major decisions in the country have been taken by the people with legal background. While giving the example of noted lawyer, Ram Jethmalani, he said that most of the successful lawyers were teachers also. He further said that 80% of the Judges in the High Courts and Supreme Court earned a masters? degree and the law students should also try to opt for LLM after their graduation.
Adv Pruthvi Raj advised the aspirants of judicial services to start preparations along with their studies right from the third year. He told said that academics and judiciary preparations are related to each other and the syllabus of BALLB covers a vast portion of the syllabus of Judiciary examination. He urged them to be confident of their success and make bullet-point notes in their preparations.
The lecture was followed by a long interactive session in which students asked questions and got their doubts cleared.
Presiding over the lecture, Prof Shakeel Ahmad Samdani, Dean, Faculty of Law said that in present times, judiciary has a very important role to play in the development of the country. He urged the students to devote time for judiciary exam preparations. Prof. Samdani further said that there is no substitute of hard work and encouraged the law students to keep working hard unless they achieve their goal. He told the audience that the AMU Law Faculty is one of the best law institutes in India. At the end, he ensured the students that the faculty will focus on organizing more seminars, symposiums, conferences, workshops and lectures.
The lecture was attended by Mr Nitish Kumar Jha and Mr Nimesh Grover from New Delhi. Abdullah Samdani introduced the guest and Adnan Zaidi conducted the lecture.
