27-NOV-2019: AMU faculty gets prestigious fellowship
ALIGARH November 27: Dr Latif Zafar Jilani, Associate Professor, Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, Aligarh Muslim University has been awarded with 'Indo-Irish Fellowship' of Indian Orthopaedic Association (IOA) for the year 2019.
Dr Jilani said that it is one of the most prestigious foreign fellowships in which a fellow from India visits centers of excellence in Ireland every year. He visited several joint replacement and trauma centres in Dublin and got acquainted with new trends in the field of arthroplasty and trauma surgery.
As part of the fellowship award, Dr Jilani was felicitated by the President of the Indian Orthopaedic Association, Dr Rajesh Malhotra, with a certificate and a cheque for INR One Lakh at the annual conference of Indian Orthopaedic Association at Biswa Bangla Convention Centre, Kolkata. The award was presented to him.
He also presented a research paper on a new technique of fixation of femoral neck fracture.
