02-JUN-2020: MAS continues essential health care for beneficiaries
Aligarh, June 2: At a time when the Hospital and healthcare system all over the country focused exclusively on COVID-19 pandemic prevention and containment; the Medical Attendance Scheme (MAS), AMU, has provided essential health services to the employees of the AMU and the pensioners.
During the National Lockdown following the guidelines and advisories of the government and the University; it was ensured in all possibilities that the essential services should be continued to MAS beneficiaries said Prof Hammad Usmani (Director, MAS).
To ensure the social distancing amidst providing essential services, the daily enrolment of the patients were limited to 200 on prior appointment and queue management was strictly incorporated.
The Vice-Chancellor of AMU, Prof Tariq Mansoor lauded the efforts of the Medical Officers, Pharmacist and Staff of MAS and expressed satisfaction on their performing duties by following protocols laid down by the Government.
Dr Mohammad S Shah (Deputy Director, MAS) informed that in the span of 70 days, a total of 13000 patients were given consultation and medicines.
