16-JUL-2020: AMU observes 'Yuva Sangeet Samaroh'
Aligarh, July 16: Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) in collaboration with the Rajiv Gandhi University (RGU), Doimukh, Arunachal Pradesh observed the 'Yuva Sangeet Samaroh' online under 'Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat (EBSB)' scheme of the Government of India.
Addressing through a video conferencing platform, AMU Vice Chancellor, Professor Tariq Mansoor highlighted the significance of academic and cultural exchange among the universities situated in diverse geographical regions of India.
He also spoke on student exchange programme between AMU and RGU under the government scheme.
Prof Saket Kushwaha (Vice Chancellor, RGU) talked about the role of music in creating bonds between different cultures.
RGU EBSB nodal officers, Dr Sambhu Prasad and Prof SampamTangjang delivered the welcome address and briefed the participants about the programme.
Prof S Sirajuddin Ajmali (Coordinator CEC and EBSB AMU Nodal Officer) extended the vote of thanks. Dr Arman Rasool Faridi (Deputy Coordinator, CEC) and Ms Humaira Mahmood Afridi (President Hobbies Workshop, CEC) spoke on how appreciation of music brings together people of different cultures.
Musical performances by RGU and AMU students, Mukkir Dai, Jikeshen Pul, Pakngam Lombi, Haider Saifullah, Nazar Hussain, Anas Khan also took place. These performances were coordinated by Mr Danish Mahmood.
