03-OCT-2020: COVID-19 Clinical Readiness Course
Aligarh, October 3: An International Emergency Organisation (iEM) designed 'COVID-19 Clinical Readiness Course For Medical Students' for providing hands-on training to the students in clinical applications and case management of coronavirus patients was organised by the Department of Anaesthesiology, Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College (JNMC), Aligarh Muslim University (AMU). The course organised in collaboration with iEM is endorsed by the International Federation for Emergency Medicine, UK.
The Covid-19 clinical readiness course was aimed at training the senior and junior resident doctors and other medical professionals all over India to manage the patients with suspected or diagnosed Covid-19 infection, said AMU Vice Chancellor, Professor Tariq Mansoor.
He appreciated the participants for attending the course.
Prof R Maheshwari, Dean, Faculty of Medicine said that covid-19 is a major concern for all of us; but it is of utmost importance for medical professionals to keep themselves updating about case management of Covid-19 patients through these courses.
Prof S Moied Ahmed (Organising Chairman of the course and Chairman, Department of Anaesthesiology) delivered the welcome address.
Dr Abu Nadeem (Organization Secretary) and Dr Muazzam Hasan (Co-Organization Secretary) elaborated the salient features of the course and the process of online certification from iEM. Dr Shahna Ali conducted the programme.
Prof Shahid Ali Siddiqui, Principal and CMS, extended the vote of thanks.
Around 128 doctors from all over India and a health professional from USA participated in the course.
