History and
Overviews
University Women's Polytechnic was
established by the University in 1966 during III Five Year Plan,
as an adjunct institution to the University Polytechnic. In the
beginning it was started with an intake of 60 students and with three
branches of Diploma courses namely Diploma in Electronics Engg., Diploma
in Architecture and Diploma in CD & DM.
The Institution obtained full-fledged
status in 1988. At present the Institution has the following sections of
studies, and is conducting a number of courses details of which are
given in next section:
1. Applied Science & Humanities Section.
2. Computer Engineering Section.
3. Costume Design & Dress Making Section
4. Electronics Engineering Section.
5. Secretarial
