Subject: Dear VC Sahab
Dear Janab Azis Sahab: ASAK and Ramadhan Mubarak. It was a pleasure to
speak with you at length again today. I am painfully aware of the
shameful and negative campaigns being orchestrated against you. This is
so sad. The institution of AMU is so important and so visible, that any
such activities not only bring a bad name to the VC and the university,
but it also exposes our students to bad publicity, which surely plays a
negative role in getting them employment or advancements at their jobs.
Those associated with AMU become a laughing stock.
While, we in USA obviously remain unaffected to a great extent, the real
sufferers are students and alumni who are in India or in neighboring
countries as these unscrupulous stories make headlines in their media.
We have grown up, but not matured...
May Allah give the strength and the courage to the silent majority of
students and alumni, whether in India or abroad, which truly believes in
your leadership, dedication and honesty to come out in the open and
speak their minds out. If not, then they will be the ones who will be
most effected. May Allah also give the wisdom and far sightedness to
those who, for their short term and petty gains, play into the hands of
those who do not wish well for the Aligarh Muslim University. I hope
they see the amount of damage this adverse publicity is doing to our
beloved alma mater.
We stand with you in all the good projects that you continue to bring to
AMU. Our small, but learned group of alumni, are ready to give whatever
they can to bring about a positive change to AMU. the FAAA has amongst
its members many world renowned experts in many different fields. On
behalf of the Federation, we will suggest to you some names for the
committee that can bring value to the deliberations on the development
of new campuses. Time is of the essence and we will move fast. While we
keep you in our thoughts, please do let us know in what ways we can
assist you.
I will convey your best wishes to the Board of Directors and the Board
of Trustees of the federation of Aligarh Alumni Association and the
various members alumni associations and all alumni and well wishers of
Aligarh Muslim University.
Inshallah, I will see you in October.
Thank you for your sincere efforts to the cause of AMU.
