Law Society
The
Law Society is comprised of a bunch of students actively involved in the
affairs of the Faculty of Law, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. It
was founded in 1894 as a non-profit student organization. It has long
traditional character which always uplifts the students’ participation
and performance in relation to legal affairs in different arena.
The
Society consists of a yearly selected committee made up of current law
students from all year. The Dean, Faculty of Law is the President of the
Society. The main task of the Law Society is to assist students within
the Department of Law with all aspects of their study.
whether its first year or fifth year students committee members feeling
comfortable and confident in a new environment and a new course or just
advising fellow students on how to find a law firm placement and
internship during the course of study. We mobilize students in legal
and quasi-legal areas of concern and to built up a strong consensus on a
particular issue and to develop a broad base of students actively
engaged in legal affairs through Moot Court competition, legal
discussion and presentation discourses.
The
society organizes events, both academic and social, from annual fest to
freshers social and farewell party for final year students.
Networking with legal professional forms an important part of our work
in building a presence for Aligarh Muslim University Law graduates
with the legal profession.
Of
course, the fact that we are studying law does not mean we all want to
be lawyers, and so we provide information and encourage discussion in
all area, and where legal staffs, an employee such as government officer
in legal department.
The
Aligarh Muslim University Law Society believe strongly in communication
and creating a supportive environment in which students within the
department of law can have their experience and discuss problems.
