I passed MBBS and MD (Medicine) examination in 1986 and 1990 from JNMC, AMU, Aligarh. Then I joined Department of Medicine JNMCH, AMU, Aligarh as clinical Registrar on 1st March 1990 and continued in the same position till 4th August 1992. Then on 5th August 1992 I was appointed as Lecturer/Assistant professor. Then on 5th August, 2001 I was appointed as Associate Professor and continuing in the same position till date. From 2001 to 2004 (3 years) I worked as a medical specialist and Rheumatologist at a tertiary care Al-Amiri Hospital in Kuwait. There I had an opportunity of working with some of the internationally famed Rheumatologist like Prof. Carol Black and Prof. Terence Gibson from London Hospital, UK. I attended many national and international conferences in India and abroad on Rheumatology, Cardiology and Diabetology.
