I did my MBBS from J.N. Medical College and received three gold medals for obtaining highest marks in different subjects and for standing first in the final MBBS examination. I then did my MD (General Medicine) from the same institution in 1991. After this I joined J.N Medical College in the year 1992 as Lecturer in the Department of Medicine. I was promoted as Reader in June 2003 and then as Associate Professor in January 2006.
I have also worked as Consultant and Lecturer in the College of Medicine, King Khalid University, Abha, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for about three years.
I have published articles including original research papers in various National and International journals of repute like the Indian Heart Journal and Hong Kong journal of Emergency medicine. I have also published a book entitled ï¿½??Bedside Clinical Medicineï¿½?? which is useful for undergraduates, post graduate students of MBBS, Dental and Nursing. I have also guided various theses for MD (General Medicine) as supervisor and co-supervisor.
My area of interest in Internal Medicine are Cardiology and Infectious diseases. Teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate students of Medical College and also of Bachelor of Dental Surgery are also part of my duty.
